Mark Schulstad

Managing Director / Owner

Mark has spent his entire career working in the marine industries. Initially working for his Uncle’s marine store in Laurel, MD while in High School that eventually lead to becoming a General Manager for a Yacht Dealership in Annapolis, MD before founding his own dealership in 1996. Mark founded Pocket Yacht Company in 2011 when he saw a need for high quality, well featured boats that were affordable to maintain and operate.
Tony Schulstad

Director of Operations

Tony was born into the boating business and has been an avid boater since a child. His official start in the industry came in 2001 when he went to work for his father at The Yacht Center. Since then he has managed service for two well known yacht firms in Fort Lauderdale and ran his own Marine Electronics Company. He returned home in 2011 to partner up with his father and start The Pocket Yacht Company.
Christina Schulstad Hayes

Business Manager

Christina grew up in the Annapolis area, spending much of her summers on the water with her family. Her experience on boats led to her taking on several crewing jobs through the Caribbean. Two of note are a “Jaime”, a 46′ Robinson and Caine Catamaran, and “Summer Love”, A 105′ Feadship, both hailing from Annapolis Yacht Club.
Tim Wilbricht

Director of Sales

After a short but successful career in the corporate world, Tim bought a 38 foot sailboat in Annapolis in 1993. He and his wife, Mischelle, headed to the Bahamas when they were both 25 years old. After spending time in the islands, they returned to the States to seek another new adventure. He helped start a couple of companies, one in Florida and the other in Boston, growing them until the companies matured. During that time Tim fell more and more in love with the boating lifestyle and lived aboard with his family for 9 1/2 years. During that time, he came back to Annapolis where he began work as a yacht broker for Annapolis Yacht Sales, AYS, in 1998. He loved sharing his passion for boating and had an amazing fifteen year career selling boats of all shapes and sizes
Lauren Mahoney

Director of Marketing

Originally from upstate New York, Lauren grew up powerboating and waterskiing on the lakes of the Adirondacks and Lake Erie. She began her marketing career in New York, later moving to St. Michaels, MD to be closer to her sister and nephews. Lauren is well-connected to the marine community in Maryland. She serves on the board of the Marine Trades Association of Maryland, Eastport Yacht Club Foundation, and Young Marine Professionals group. In her free time, you can find Lauren racing with her sailing team “Jubilee” a Beneteau 36.7, powerboating with friends, or spending time with family. John Osborne

Lead Sales Associate, Maryland

After closing his Houseboat sales and brokerage business in 2010, John ran a local brokerage until 2014 when Mark Schulstad offered John a position at Pocket Yacht selling the Eastern and Seaway boats. As the Ranger and Cutwater boats gained in popularity the other lines were dropped to spend more time on them. John has become one of the top performers of Pocket Yacht Co. and has won several top awards over the last eight years. John prides himself with his ability to talk with customers honestly about the products and put them at ease during the purchasing process. Having a quality product and strong leadership is the key to Johns success. John is a long time resident of Marylands Eastern Shore and likes cooking and fishing and resides in Easton MD with Carol his wife of over 40 years .
Josh Miller

Sales Associate, Maryland

Josh grew up on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and originally hails from Kent Island. A 1998 graduate of the U. S. Coast Guard Academy he served a few short years at sea, and then realized his lifelong dream of becoming a Coast Guard Helicopter pilot and Aeronautical Engineer. After a fun-filled career of 25 great years and having the privilege to live on and fly over all four sides of the U.S., Josh retired as a Captain in January 2023 and joined our team. A passionate outdoorsman and life-long boater, Josh brings a unique perspective and breadth of experience from the lens of both an operator and first responder. An avid hobbyist, Josh spends his free time remodeling houses, beekeeping, hunting, fishing, and cycling among many other pastimes.
Captain Lee Cook

Sales Associate, Florida

Lee was born and raised on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay, learning to drive a boat before he could drive a car. After a decade of working in the National Security and Defense Industry and dabbling in the national political arena, he has returned to his marine roots. He is a USCG Licensed Captain and provides training for new and seasoned boat owners. A Division I Collegiate Lacrosse Defensemen, Lee attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Annapolis and went on to graduate from the Virginia Military Institute. He brings a lifetime of working on and around pleasure and commercial boats from the engine room to the pilothouse. Lee provides personalized service with integrity and forethought. An avid boater and weekend Chef, Lee spends as much time as he can on the water with his family and beloved English Lab, Marshall.
Captain Robert Tolbert

Sales Associate, Florida

Robert, a native of Washington DC, has been navigating the waters of the Upper and Lower Chesapeake Bay his entire life. This fervor for boating eventually steered him toward the marine industry, leading to a career with the Pocket Yacht Company. Recognized for his dedication and skill, Pocket Yacht entrusted Robert with the opportunity to spearhead their operation in Jensen Beach, Florida, as the sole employee. Through his unwavering commitment, Robert has significantly contributed to the site becoming one of the largest Ranger Tug and Cutwater dealerships in the country. Pocket Yacht recently added the new line of Solara boats, crafted by Fluid Motion—the esteemed builders behind Ranger Tug and Cutwater—to the dealership’s impressive portfolio. Beyond his professional achievements, Robert holds a 100 GRT Captain’s License, showcasing his deep understanding and expertise in maritime navigation. In his leisure time, Robert enjoys restoring slightly older boats, breathing new life into these vessels. Robert’s journey from a lifelong boating enthusiast to a respected professional sales advisor exemplifies his dedication, expertise, and love for the marine lifestyle. Ian Morris

Sales Associate

Ian has been boating for much of his life both professionally and recreationally. He’s been working in the marine industry for the last twenty years in various capacities, working as a production manager, a project manager, and as a mate on various private boats. He’s now applying his experience in his work with the Pocket Yacht Company.
Captain Chris Holtsclaw

Regional Manager, Sales & Service - Carolinas

Chris Holtsclaw grew up in South Carolina and has worked on boats all of his life. He spent much of his career in Key West, delivering, selling, and working boats up and down the coast. Since joining the Pocket Yacht crew in New Bern, he has excelled in every aspect of the boat sales and service process. Chris spends his free time with his wife Maria and little Frenchie, Bayler.
Kelsey Jones

Finance Associate

Kelsey grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and Creeks of Kent Island. Her passion for the water and the marine industry has made her an amazing addition to our service team.
Howard Edwards

Service Technician, Maryland

Howard’s journey into the marine world began in picturesque Caroline County, where he first honed his skills as an auto mechanic. In 1999, he made the pivotal switch to the boating industry and hasn’t looked back since. By 2003, Howard achieved the prestigious title of Yamaha Master Technician and is also certified with Mercury, Honda, and Suzuki. Before joining us in April 2020, he was the proud owner of Castaway Marine, a testament to his expertise and entrepreneurship in marine technology. When he’s not expertly navigating the complexities of boat mechanics, Howard enjoys gardening and quality time with his family.
Steve Eggleston

Service Technician, Maryland

Steve hails from Northeastern Pennsylvania and has a rich background that spans aviation and industrial mechanics, thanks to his rigorous training at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He’s not just a FAA licensed Airframe and Powerplant mechanic; he’s also an avid boater who brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to his work. Steve joined the PYC family in 2022 and is currently working towards his ABYC and Yamaha University certifications, ensuring he stays at the forefront of marine servicing excellence. When he’s not expertly maintaining your boats, you can find him golfing, skiing, or cruising on the water.
Captain Bryson Johnson

Service Manager, Florida

Bryson grew up in Alburnett Iowa, with a family in the business of motorsports. He has lots of experience with dirt bikes, stand up jet skis, and boats. Bryson got his first boat when he was 16 years old and has been on the water ever since. After high school he served 5 years in the Navy and enjoyed being stationed at Pearl Harbour. To continue his education in the marine industry, Bryson attended Chapmans School of Seamanship and graduated from their Professional Mariner Training program and is a USCG Licensed Captain. In his free time Bryson enjoys fishing, surfing, sailing, and mountain biking.
Maria Altamuro

Office Manager, NC

Maria grew up in the Oregon and Washington state area. She has spent much of her life on the islands of Guam and Key West where she’s worked on several boats as a scuba dive master and a facilities general manager. Maria spends much of her free time with her husband Chris, sailing the Bahamas and exploring North Carolina.
Jane Styron

Office Administrator - Carolina's

Jane grew up in Eastern North Carolina, so boating has always been a big part of her life. She grew up fishing and powerboating on the Neuse, then as an adult on the Crystal Coast. Currently, she is back to loving the “river life” in New Bern, NC where she is happily surrounded by extended family. With a background in insurance, boat sales, and hospitality, she fits right into the Pocket Yacht family.
Cherokee Heindselman

Office Manager, Florida

Cherokee grew up in Cedar Rapids Iowa, where summers were always spent on the lake fishing, boating, and riding jet skis. Cherokee has a love for sailing and enjoyed restoring an old Macgregor Venture 21 and a Catalina 22 with her fiancé Bryson. Cherokee graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2019. She spent 4 years working as a nurse, which eventually brought her to Florida and The Pocket Yacht Company.
Captain Kaleb Jemison

Service Technician, North Carolina

Kaleb’s journey in the marine world is rooted along the vibrant Gulf Coast of Florida, where he developed a passion for fishing, diving, and boat maintenance from a young age. Before joining us as a Yamaha Service Technician and Captain in 2023, Kaleb mastered his craft over ten years in marine salvage and towing in the bustling waters of Key West. His deep experience and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to our team and your go-to expert for all things boating.
